Herbal Medicine

herbsHerbal medicine, another branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine, also works to adjust the levels of circulating neurotransmitters, hormones and anti-inflammatory substances gently and naturally without side effects which may be worse than the original illness.

The choice of TCM herbal blends is based on the patient’s individual TCM diagnosis and works in tandem with the acupuncture and TCM Food Therapy. The Chinese realized that herbs and acupuncture would be of minimal effectiveness if the patient’s diet was not nutritionally and energetically balanced with the other branches of TCM. Food has the ability to affect the functioning of the body’s systems just like herbs and acupuncture, and should be regulated to maximize the over-all healing plan.
